International Conference “Gender Mainstreaming in STEM and Global Change Sciences“
14.10.2015 – 15.10.2015
Location: Czech Academy of Sciences conference premises, Brno, Czech Republic
The need for gender mainstreaming in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is obvious, however in many STEM disciplines gender reflexion is in the very beginning. This is also the case of the climate and global change research where this complex interdisciplinary approach should be also aware of gender aspects. In the eve of the global UN climate conference organised in Paris in December 2015 it is good time for a reflection. Mainly researchers, scientific administrators, managers and academic staff from 15 nationalities participated at the conference. Conference speakers were international experts on gender in science and stakeholders of gender mainstreaming processes in the academia. For programm see pdf file.
